New mobile browser – Microsoft DeepFish

Microsoft have announced their new browser for mobile devices, ‘DeepFish’. One of the most interesting features of DeepFish is that it only loads the visible part of each webpage (the bit you’re actually looking at), instead of the whole page all at once. It also has several zoom features that allow you to navigate pages more easily, even if you’re using a device with a tiny screen. DeepFish is currently released as a limited beta – more info here.

Palm emulator for Pocket PC
We’ve just migrated from a Palm handheld to an iPAQ running Windows Mobile, and although Windows Mobile is a pretty decent operating system – there’s still a few Palm applications that we just can’t live without. Instead of looking for similar applications written for Windows Mobile, we’re currently trying out StyleTap Platform which allows most Palm OS applications (and games) to be run on a Windows Mobile handheld. So far it’s looking good.
