Best flashlight in the world
Oh… and when I say “best”, I’m talking about value for money.
I’ve just received a C30 adjustable beam 3xAAA CREE flashlight from DealExtreme. I’m planning on using it on my bike, and *insert politically correct groan here* on my air rifle (target shooting only!). The beauty of this CREE flashlight is that it can be zoomed out, for a huge flood effect – perfect for cycling or walking, or focused to a very tight, very bright, spotlight – useful for hunting, or night time plinking. I’ve bought a few fantastic CREE flashlights from DX, but this one is the best by far.
The real winner is the price… $9.90 USD.
And that includes free shipping anywhere in the world.

Here’s a video I took using some 5 year old 800mAh AAA NiMH batteries.
Best battery charger in the world

The Maha Powerex MH-C9000 is the single best batter charger I have ever used. It charges each cell individually, and includes several preset programs that range from an intelligent quick charge, to a massive 40 hour ‘rescue from the dead’ cycle. My MH-C9000 arrived two days ago, and has already breathed new life into four previously DEAD Energizer NiMH AA batteries that I would have otherwise thrown away. The MH-C9000 is not exactly cheap, but if you’re a battery nerd (especially if you’re into radio control or photography, etc..), then it will probably start saving you money in dead batteries nearly immediately.
Turn off TVs for under $3 – free worldwide shipping!

It may not be an authentic TV-B-Gone, but for $2.34 (and that includes free worldwide shipping!), the Mini Multifunctional Remote Controller is excellent value for money. That’s right… the price includes free worldwide shipping.
Tomy Flip Flap Mini – solar powered smiles
I just received one of these ultra cute Tomy Flip Flap Mini solar plants, it’s sitting on my desk, happily bobbing up and down just from the light of my small desk lamp. Everyone that sees it says that it’s silly, then after a minute or so they think it’s kinda cute, then they ask where they can get one. I LOVE my Flip Flap! This is the best solar toy I’ve got (and yes, I have quite a few).
Kaossilator touchpad synth
The Korg Kaossilator touchpad synth is a pocket size synthesizer that features a revolutionary touchpad design. Move your finger from left to right to change the pitch of the note, and up and down to change the sound. The Kaossilator can also be used as a drum machine and has dozens of built in beats and drum sounds. It features a sequencer function that allows you to build up tracks using the loop recording feature – you can layer tracks to create complex songs combining lead instruments, beats and sound effects together. Check out the video, it’s pretty cool.

Sun visor DVD player

I’ve always wondered why somebody didn’t invent this a long time ago. Having a DVD player in your dash is kinda cool, but it’s not very convenient when you actually want to watch a DVD. These sun visor DVD players solve all that by sticking the screen right in front of your face. They include a DVD/CD player, TV tuner, radio, SD card reader, USB port, cables and antenna connections – playback is controlled by using either the built in LCD touch screen, or the included remote control.
KeyPhantom USB keylogger

The KeyPhantom is the first commercially available keylogger to work on 100% of all USB keyboards (both PC and Mac). The KeyPhantom records up to 240,000 keystrokes at a hardware level, has its own internal flash memory, takes only a second to install, and can even be installed when the target computer is off. This would be an ideal tool if you need to monitor unauthorized access to your computer, or if you just want to see what’s going on when you’re not around. Works with nearly everything: Mac OS, Windows 95, 98, 98SE, NT, XP, 2000, Vista, Linux, Solaris, DOS, OS/2, and BeOS.

USB proximity lock
Need to keep the data on your laptop secure? How about something that automatically locks down your laptop whenever you move more than 10 feet away from it? That’s exactly what the Tripp Lite Wireless USB proximity lock does. You simply plug one end into a spare USB port on your computer, and put the other end in your pocket or hang it around your neck. Not only would this be good in a work or school environment, but also if you have little kids that jump on your computer and ‘play’ when you leave the room.
