The Nintendo Wii LAN adapter is required to connect the Wii console to a wired router. According to Nintendo, &#8220;non-Nintendo&#8221; Wii LAN adapters are not compatible with the Wii console, so if you want a wired connection for your Wii, this is the only way to do it.
