MSI Megaview 588
MSI have been making portable media players for a few years now, and while I’ve always been a big fan of MSI’s PC components, I’ve never really given their multimedia players much notice – but now they’ve released something pretty flashy. The MSI Megaview 588 is a portable multimedia player and storage device, with 20GB of storage and a 3.5 inch LCD screen – it can handle most popular movie formats including MPEG-4, DivX and WMV, and of course plays MP3s and WMA audio files.
MSI Digi Player 600
MSI have released yet another iPod styled mp3 player – but unlike a lot of others, this one’s actually pretty good. The MSI Digi Player 600 features 1GB memory, supports MP3 and WMA files, has an FM tuner, microphone – and most importantly, a full colour OLED screen capable of playing movies.
Creative Zen Vision
Creative are really starting to come up with some nice looking media players – the Zen Vision has a 3.7 inch LCD screen, magnesium case, 30GB of storage, built in FM radio, MP3 playback, and support for DivX XviD, WMV, and MPEG 4 video. One of the best things about the Zen Vision is the CompactFlash slot – which enables you to store your digital photos on the Zen Vision when your camera’s CF card get’s full.
iriver PMC-120
The iriver PMC-120 plays your movies, music, television shows, photos and more. It features the ultra-intuitive Microsoft Media Center interface and connects seamlessly to Windows Media Player. Plus, it comes complete with a widescreen color display, integrated speaker, 20GB of internal storage and a removable rechargeable battery.
Samsung YPT8Z digital media player
Samsung have released a new 1GB digital media player with an 1.8″ TFT color LCD display, and a battery capable of 20 hours of audio playback, or 6 hours of video playback. The Samsung YPT8Z supports music, videos, photo albums, e-books, games – and can be used an mass storage device and FM tuner/recorder. The Samsung YPT8Z can read MPEG, MP3, WMA, WMA-DRM, JPEG, Ogg, ASF, and text files. It looks pretty slick too.
