XMOD Evo
The new XMOD Evo is here, and it’s far superior to the original XMOD – the XMOD Evo motor is now mounted at a 90 degree angle to the original XMOD, and sits at the rear of of the chassis similar to a Mini-Z. The batteries have been relocated to the bottom of the chassis, which give the XMOD Evo a much lower center of gravity – and the steering servo has been improved, resulting in a tighter turning circle than the original XMOD.
Mini-Z AWD
Kyosho have released a new Mini-Z AWD model – the MA-010. The Mini-Z AWD features a shaft-driven AWD system, with 4 wheel independent suspension – and weighs in at only 5g more than the MR-02. We’ve tested the Mini-Z AWD on the track, and compared to the MR-02, the grip and cornering speed is incredible. The only bad thing about the Mini-Z AWD is the limited range of bodies available – some of the lower body shells like the NSX and Supra require a “lay down crystal modification”.
Plantraco Butterfly
The Plantraco Butterfly is the lightest and smallest ready to fly R/C plane ever produced – and is powered by a tiny ‘Bahoma’ lithium polymer cell – running a carbon fiber propeller, swiss engineered gearbox, and a tiny 4mm coreless motor. The build quality of the Butterfly is superb, and some serious engineering has gone into the production of the transmitter, receiver and servos.
